As a toddler in late 90s I had known the then President of republic of Kenya as harsh person.
Daniel Arap Moi was a no nonsense President of Kenya who other people described him as a dictator and a 'silencer'.
Many politicians including the former Prime minister and NASA presidential candidate, Raila Odinga, Kenneth Matiba and others have shared their worst experience with the former President. No Kenyan can't remember claims of the untimely deaths of some important politicians who went missing while some were killed in broad daylight like Tom Mboya with blame going to the government.
Deputy William Ruto was in KANU government where they said KANU will be in the government for 100years, Moi was for one party state just to mention a few. Politicians from Rift valley like Bomet Governor has described Ruto as a dictator following his policies.
Ruto who was the party leader of URP disbanded his party to form one political party,Jubilee Party, where analyst says ,multy~partism might come to an end if Ruto was in power.
Those that might have challenged Ruto's ambition of becoming the president in 2022 have face the wrath in what is termed as political suicide . For instance Wiliam Kabogo who said Kikuyus won't vote for Ruto in 2022 lost his gubernatorial nomination same to Peter Kenneth who was seen as a threat come 2022.
It was alleged that Ruto had a hand in the assassination of the businessman, Jacob Juma, following the late tweets is to go buy.
To go by the similarities of the two leaders ,Ruto can be described as the real 'son' of Moi.
