Is Moi campus clean
Moi University have adopted new strategy on cleaning its
institution and its environs late this year under new leadership of Vice
Chancellor Laban Ayiro to ensure conducive learning center.
The institution is known to be having poor sanitation record
following poor services by the staff due lack of working equipment. The worse
been the helping facilities within the campus such as student toilets,
bathrooms, bushy areas and poor drainage system that cause flooding in Student
Center.
The beauty of the institution is always weighed with its
building structures, surrounding and the location. With no doubt the ragged
land in Moi is an obstacle deny the institution the beauty it deserve.
Under the new leadership of Prof. Ayirowith his slogan Rapid
Response Initiative, has kept both the staffs and the students on toes and
responsible in carrying their activities and keeping the environment tidy. It is
vivid that Prof. Ayiro is on point of leave
the place better than you found it, he want to change the look of the
campus under his tenure.
He is ensuring the land is leveled by grounding down the
hills, and filling up the valleys. The ragged land has not only posed beauty
challenge but security concern too. Everyone within Moi can bank this idea of
Prof since it’s evident that change is already being experienced.
Tree is rain, and rain is food since it’s a way to reclaim
land for agriculture but also to show signs of cool and beauty environment for
learning. On Saturday Prof took the initiative to plant trees within the
campus.
Hostels, highways and pathways is no longer the same. It’s
no longer monkey’s business when it comes to clean environment. The odor smell
in some of the hostel is a forgone story. The plumbing notice released from
his office is the best example.
Moi Campus can now be ranked among the cleanest learning
institution in Kenya this through the steps taken by the Prof. Ayiro as change
is now experienced within the 21/2 months in office.
It’s now the time everyone to pull up their socks to ensure the
University is not only known for producing qualified personnel to the world but
the best clean Center for learning within East Africa region, it can be
done, cooperation is what is needed.
